Why contribute?

Community building

The TANGO consortium is committed to ensuring the accessibility and adoption of the TANGO Ecosystem by a wider community of stakeholders, including researchers, developers and industry practitioners. This commitment is rooted in a philosophy of transparency and collaboration, as reflected in our “building in public” approach.

Accessibility and Availability

The TANGO Ecosystem and its components are being developed openly, with all source code, documentation and related materials made publicly available through accessible platforms. Specifically:

  • Source Code and Documentation: Hosted on the official project GitLab, ensuring that any interested party can access, review and contribute to the project. Links and updates are regularly shared through the project’s official communication channels.
  • Early Access: Interested users can engage with and test preliminary versions of the TANGO Ecosystem during its development phases, enabling feedback collection and iterative improvements.
  • Open Licensing: The ecosystem components are released under open-source Apache v2.0 license to encourage adoption and integration into other projects.

To maintain the quality and relevance of the TANGO Library, a qualification and acceptance process has been established. This process ensures that any addition to the TANGO Library meets the technical and usability standards set forward for the TANGO Ecosystem.
